Day Trips

We experience every weather condition you could imagine in the high desert! Sunshine, wind, rain, smoke, snow, sleet, balmy etc (look on the bright side: we don't get tornados!) Be prepared for every scenario, within reason. A rain jacket, a fleece/sweatshirt, a hat, and some sunglasses will get you by most of the summer months, but spring and fall carry extra long johns, fleece and a beeny cap just in case you fall in. MOSQUITOS ARE NOT AN ISSUE ON THE DESCHUTES! If we can brag about something, it's this! No buzzin around your face when you're trying to cast. Here is a quick checklist to make sure you don't forget anything. If the item has a link, click on it see it in my store!

• Sunscreen
• Waders - if you don't have waders we can arrange some for you
• Boots - if you don't have boots we can arrange some for you
• 5 or 6 Weight Fly Rod - if you have them, great! We always bring extra at no cost to you
• Matching Reel with Floating Line
• Wide-brimmed hat
• Polarized sunglasses
• Alcohol - it's illegal for us to supply it, or else we would
• Oregon fishing license - can be purchased day of trip, or online here
• Gloves - spring and fall
• "Beanie" hat
• Medicine/prescriptions
• Boater Pass -Boaterpass.com has these, you fill in some info and print out your pass, or we get them the day of the float
• Chapstick
• Camera
• Rain jacket
• Thermal underwear
• Flys-we will provide all flys you will need, but feel free to bring your own special flys or ones you have tied yourself

Overnight Trips

All the same stuff that you need for a one day trip plus a couple extra items to make your nights comfortable. WE DO NOT SUPPLY SLEEPING BAGS OR PILLOWS!! Please bring these items and we will have a dry bag for you to put all your stuff in so it dosn't get wet:

• Sleeping bag
• Pillow
• Toiletries- the outhouses have toilet paper in them
