Owyhee Season Wrap-Up & Fall on the Deschutes

The Owyhee is officially done for another year.

This summer’s fishing all in all was better than normal. We had some great days chasing Owyhee browns, but what really stood out this year was the number of rainbows we were seeing. We saw more rainbow trout than we normally do, which made for an especially fun season. Most of the rainbows were 10-12 inches but the good news that the way they grown in the Owyhee they could be some big boys by next spring.

Now we’re turning our attention to the Deschutes for the fall. The cooler weather is here, and we’re looking forward to getting back on the Deschutes.
